  my family used independent when my dad died a couple of years ago. i'm not so sure they are less money than a regular mortuary. they don't appear to have gotten on the technical bandwagon. do they have a website or email address? their vehicles pretty much reminded me of left overs from an auction. They seemed to lack the professionalism of the regular mortuaries--no website, no identifiable email address. Their location on highway 89 in North Salt Lake pretty much looks like a shack.

  The team at Independent Funeral Services took great care of our sweet grandmother that passed away, specifically Scott. He was professional, patient, kind and understanding. He walked us through all the formalities and tenderly guided us through through a difficult time so that we could grieve her loss without stressing over the details.
